Regional Training Director - Steve Salazar, CDBA
Steve Salazar, CDBA, is the Director of Training for the West Los Angeles Region of Canine Dimensions Home Dog Training which includes the West Side, the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County.
After fifteen years of military service, followed by a career in the private sector, Steve decided to follow his dream of working with dogs. The opportunity to use his talents to help dogs and their owners communicate more effectively and build stronger lifelong relationships was key in his decision to become a professional dog trainer and join the Canine Dimensions team. The combination of Steve’s love of animals and Canine Dimension’s training philosophies have been a perfect match. Both complement each other to provide a fun and enjoyable experience that both dogs and their owners rave about.
Steve has always had a passion for dogs, especially those in need of rescue. He believes that there is no better feeling than giving a dog a chance at a new life, and has enjoyed working with shelters and rescues in order to increase the chance of placing the dogs into new forever homes. He gets great satisfaction working with adoptive pet parents to help their new dogs become a part of the family.
Steve is a Certified Dog Behavior Advisor, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Canine Professionals, and is certified by the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator
