Jess grew up in rice farm country in Northern California. Involvement with the family business lead to her love for hunting and sporting dogs, especially a yellow lab named Annie.
From riding horses, helping work cattle, or hunting – dogs and animals have always been a large part of her life.
Jess was the state degree holder for the FFA & chapter secretary in high school. After earning her associate degree in science she began a career with a national pet supply chain, eventually being promoted to a multi-unit management position. In that position she helped supervise the company’s dog trainers, which inspired her to pursue certification as a professional dog trainer with Canine Dimensions.
After interning at one of New Jersey’s highest intake animal shelters, Jess graduated from training and was accepted as a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). A certified dog behavior advisor, Jess is recommended by veterinarians, rescues and shelters throughout South Jersey, where she has earned a well-deserved reputation for successfully training and rehabilitating dogs with serious behavior problems such as fear and aggression, helping to keep dogs safely in their homes and out of overcrowded animal shelters
